Btw I apologize that not everything translates to text. I wasn’t necessarily being a bitch. I really didn’t know how to respond to a simple “hey”. I had no where to go with that. Not to mention my extreme amount of social awkwardness.

She read the message and tilted her head with a furrowed brow and a slight smile, “hi?” She answered curiously wondering who this stranger was that left a message. Always the one to over analyze a situation, she felt pushing the conversation with anything besides a salutation put her in a vulnerable position with an unknown person. She added the question mark as simply a suggestion to go on, to answer who they were, why they were interested enough to say anything at all, and without expecting the stranger or another stranger to be overly sensitive to such a common punctuation mark.
